John Lieto enjoyed a very successful career racing different forms of sprint cars
at tracks throughout the Northeast.
Lieto, who began driving micro-sprints in New Hampshire 19 years ago, collected 113
victories in different types of winged racers – including several while competing in the mini-sprint division at Accord
Speedway.
But Lieto has been winless since switching to bigger cars at the Orange County Fair Speedway in 2007. The 44-year-old
Mt. Kisco driver joined forces with car owner Ken Hermance at the fabled racing facility, but he’s found the going tough.That

Region Sprint Association returns to Orange County Fair Speedway as part of the Saturday, August 28 racing program at the
historic Hard Clay speedway in Middletown, New York. This will be the third Orange County appearance of the 305 cubic inch
sprint cars this season. Billy Vanlnwegen, from Sparrowbush, New York won the May 8 CRSA feature race, while Ryan Smith, of
Kunkletown, Pennsylvania captured the July 17 main event. The CRSA sprint cars will be back on the Hard Clay for a final time
