NES Geared Up For 2010 Season
(New
Egypt, NJ - Feb. 1, 2010) - Fresh off a successful Motorsports weekend and awards banquet, NES is prepped and ready
for the 2010 season to officially begin. A full schedule of events was released this past week with plenty of
dates for fans to mark their calendars in 2010.
The Plumsted, NJ four-tenths mile clay oval will host 31 racing events
throughout the 2010 season. “Our schedule is solid, but there is a possibility of adding a few more special
shows if everything comes together correctly,” track manager Danny Serrano confirmed. “We’re pretty
much mirroring last year’s schedule as far as having the Modifieds run every week and our support divisions (Sportsman, FASTRAK
Late Models, Crate-1 Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks) race on an every other week basis.”
The 13th season opener will be preceded by two open practice sessions on Wednesday, April 7 and 14. Practice
is slated to start at 5p.m. and run to 9p.m.
The Tri-Track Series between the New Egypt, Bridgeport, and Georgetown
Speedways will once again take place at all three tracks in 2010. NES will officially open their doors on April 17
with a 40-lap Tri-Track Cabin Fever 40 for the Modifieds, along with the Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks.
New to
the scene in 2010 of course are the FASTRAK Late Models. The Late Models have replaced the Super Stocks for 2010.
“FASTRAK is growing by the day… Literally,” Serrano pointed out. “Tracks are signing
up left and right. I guarantee you will see some other tracks closer to New Egypt sign up in the near future. We
can’t stress it enough… This is a building process. We know that car counts and purses will be low
in the beginning but, in time you will see this division take off like it has around the rest of the country.”
The
Tri-State RaceSaver 305 Sprint Series will make 7 appearances at the track in 2010. “Joe Grandinetti and his
guys have done a great job in organizing this group, and NES is really looking forward to seeing open wheel sprints
on a semi-regular basis,” Serrano added.
The Toby Tobias Jr.-designed SpeedSTR midgets are scheduled on four occasions
throughout the season. The ARDC midgets will invade NES on Tuesday, August 24 in conjunction with the Summer Sizzler
Tri-Track Modified 40-lapper. The powerful URC 360 Sprint cars will race into New Egypt on Saturday, July 3 in
conjunction with a 40-lap Tri-Track Modified race and of course a great fireworks display during the holiday weekend.
Highlighting
this year’s schedule will be the 5th annual Friends of Mike Race, now a staple on the New Egypt schedule paying $10,000
to the Modified winner. This year’s race will be held on Saturday, July 31. With the great cooperation
from Bridgeport, Grandview and Orange County, these tracks have not scheduled Modifieds that night so that their drivers
can compete for the $10,000 first place prize.
Another event that stands out on New Egypt’s schedule is
the 1st Annual John Romano Memorial. The 84-lap event will take place on Labor Day Monday, September 6 (*it should
be noted that there is a misprint on the printed schedule… It is September 6th not September 5th). “John
was a great competitor and an even better person,” commented Serrano. “This race has the potential to
be the biggest Sportsman event ever. There is going to be some great money on the line for this race and I don’t
see why there shouldn’t be 100 cars entered. It’s been a while since NJ had a Labor Day Race that the fans
could attend. I don’t think that this one will disappoint anyone.”
Other popular race nights will
return to the schedule in 2010 such as the always fan-favorite Christmas in July presented by Advantage Financial which
will be held on July 17. Twin 20s return for the Modifieds on both Military Night and on Championship Night. Powder Puff
races, Legends Night, Banner Night plus many other theme nights once again will take place at NES.
One thing
that Serrano is pretty excited about is the Guaranteed Spot Qualifiers between all the neighboring race tracks. “I’ll
tell you what… I think it’s a great thing for New Egypt to work with all these tracks and offer something
to all the drivers that support these tracks. It’s a step in the right direction and I’m just proud to
be part of it.” Look for a press release coming soon regarding the qualifiers and there will be plenty of
information on New Egypt’s website. I have to commend Bridgeport, Grandview, Big Diamond, Orange County,
Penn Can, Accord and Five Mile Point for working with NES.
Lias Tire and American Racer will once again be the official
track tire at the New Egypt Speedway for the 2010 racing campaign. Also returning to the scene will be Pit Stop
Tire Service which is owned and operated by four-time Modified track champion Billy Pauch. Pauch will sell the
American Racing tires at the track as well as from his shop in Frenchtown, New Jersey. Insinger Performance (fuel)
and Metal Fab (parts supplier) will once again provide their services for the 2010 season at New Egypt.
As in years past NES will still honor Bridgeport, Grandview and Orange County stamped American Racers
(48/44 compound) when a rainout occurs at any of these three speedways. Track licenses will be honored as well
for drivers and fans that want to enter the pits.
For Sunday events (Demo/Enduro Series), there will be no licenses required
for entry to the pit area. $30 will be the back gate entry fee for those events for everyone. The Enduro Series
grew in 2009, and 2010 looks even better for the NJ Enduro fans. There are four Enduro and demolition Derbys that
are scheduled throughout the year (May 2, June 27, Aug 29 and Oct 30).
To round it all out, there
are six ‘Mud Hops’ on Sunday afternoons (1 Friday night) which offer yet another different flavor of racing
at New Egypt Speedway.
New Egypt Speedway will also be participating in the 3rd Annual Dirt Track Heroes and
Car Show at the Phillipsburg Mall Show which is being held from March 7 to March 13. Wednesday, March 10 at 6pm some of
the NES drivers will be on hand for interviews and autographs. There will be a table with 2010 schedules and other handy
information set up at the mall show.
This year’s “Winter Jam” will be held at the Cream Ridge
Golf Course on Friday, February 26. Cream Ridge is located seven miles north of the track on Route 539. Pit
license, pit stall spot, preferred spectator parking, and season pass applications can all be filled out and purchased
when the doors open at 5pm on Friday. Schedules will be available and the NES staff will be on hand to answer any questions
about the upcoming season. Food and drinks will be available for everyone on hand.
Pit Licenses will remain
at $75 as in years past if they are purchased prior to opening day (April 17). The cost for a track license will
then be $100 after April 17. The pit entry fees will remain the same in 2010 for license ($30) and non-license ($40) holders.
Numerous
teams have been inquiring about renting the track before the season officially starts. If you are interested in the
valuable extra track time, please contact the NES office at 609-758-1900 in order to arrange dates, pricing, and groupings.

NEWS FROM NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY Route 539, New Egypt, NJ Track Phone: 609-758-1900 Contact: Pete
Wortman, PR Director 732-222-1261
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Pauch Overcomes Wednesday Disappointment with
Saturday Victory at New Egypt
New Egypt, NJ—(Oct 3, 2009)…Just three days after losing the Modified title
chase in the final point event, Billy Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ bounced back with a strong effort ending in victory lane
at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night. Pauch started 6th in the 40-lap BPG/Hooters tri-track event and beat a star
studded field for his 10th win at NES this season on Rocktoberfest sponsored by Hamill Flooring. Pauch took the lead
from NY invader Stewart Friesen after a spirited battle and then held off a late race surge by 2009 champ Rick Laubach
to record his 81st career Modified win at NES.
Pole sitter Friesen charged into the lead at the start of the event over Laubach, Ryan Watt and Richie
Pratt, Jr. Pauch quickly worked his way up to the runner-up spot when the yellow appeared on lap 13 for Pratt, who slowed
with a left rear flat. Pauch took advantage of this as he grabbed the lead on the restart, and after several laps of challenges
from Friesen slowly began to pull away. Laubach was back in the hunt after halfway as he moved back into second and with
just ten laps left looked as though he may have something for Pauch in the late stages. However, with the final 27 laps
being run clean and green, Laubach could not muster enough to chase down Pauch who took the checkered 5 car lengths
ahead of Laubach. Duane Howard was the big mover in the event, as he raced from his 19th starting spot after winning
the Consolation, to 8th spot in the first 7 laps of the race. Howard got as far as third, before his car finally leveled
out and he followed Pauch and Laubach to the finish. Friesen impressed many with his strong run finishing fourth and
Jeff Strunk completed the top five just edging out Ryan Watt who came home sixth. Kenny Carberry & Bobby Drayton
finished 7th and 8th and picked up the contingency awards. Keith Hoffman and Chic Cossaboone rounded out the top ten.
Championships
were on the line in the other four support divisions, and in a strange coincidence all of the fan voted Most Popular Driver winners
for 2009, who received their awards at intermission, won their respective feature events.
Mike Howardson won his first feature event of the year and just the second of his career in the 20-lap
Sportsman main event. Howardson took advantage of his pole starting spot to take the win over Pat Wall and Rookie champ
DJ Ruppert. JT Trestensky was fourth and Jack Swain finished fifth. Six-time winner Rocco Infante finished 7th to clinch
the 2009 Sportsman track title.
John Micek scored his third victory of the season in the Crate-1 Sportsman feature.
Micek took the lead from Bryan Kuhl and then cruised to the popular win. Kuhl was second, followed by Gabe Fox, Rob
Stump and Ryan Forte. Jon Haegele needed to finish 11th or better to wrap up his first NES championship, and he did just
that finishing 11th to be the NES 2009 Crate-1 Sportsman Champ.
Rob Ormsbee of Wall, NJ won for the second straight
race defeating Shawn McCaughey and Todd Cray in the 20-lap Super Stock finale. Jason Bubeck and George Quinlan chased
this trio across the finish line to complete the top five. Cray’s third place run put the finishing touches on
his second straight track title. Second year racer PJ Oliver scored
his third win of the season in the 20-lap Outlaw Stock feature. Oliver grabbed the lead on lap eight and was the class
of the field over the last half of the race winning his third feature of the year. Johnny Carpenter held on for second
in a race which had the top 6 cars all finish right together and the Championship decided by just one spot on the final
lap. Title contender Vern McLaughlin raced home third, while point leader Shannon Mongeau passed Jason Saredy on the
final lap to finish fourth and win the 2009 championship outright by just 4 points over McLaughlin. Saredy crossed the
line in fifth.
This completes our Saturday night racing program for 2009. The final event at New Egypt Speedway for
the year will be held on Sunday Oct. 25 at 1pm, when the track presents it’s annual Halloween Havoc show, with
a Demolition Derby, an Enduro and an appearance of the Vintage Stock Cars. For more information, call the speedway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Things Break Right for Laubach, Wins Race and
Title at New Egypt
New Egypt, NJ (September 30, 2009) – Rick Laubach of Hellertown, PA entered Wednesday
evening trailing point leader Billy Pauch by 32 points, and when he crashed on the first lap of his heat race sending him
to the pits and the B Main, no one in attendance gave him much of a chance. However in the 30 lap Big-Block Modified double-point championship
event things broke right for him as he charged to the front to win his second feature of the year and stun everyone as
he picked up his first ever track championship at New Egypt Speedway. What broke right for Laubach was Pauch, who was
caught up in a second lap 12-car pileup in turn two finding him sitting upside down in the middle of the track. Despite
his crew thrashing feverishly to get him back out without losing a lap, the damage was so severe to his front end that
it caused Pauch to bring out three consecutive yellows over the next 2 laps resulting in him being forced to retire from
the event.
“Sometimes things go your way and sometimes they don’t” exclaimed a happy Laubach
in victory lane, “It seemed that most of the year when Billy had problems we could not take advantage of it, but
tonight we did. We are going to enjoy this one for a while!”
Ron John Koczon grabbed the early lead on the first lap and was leading when several cars got together
in turn two triggering the big pileup on the outside of the speedway. Pauch dove to the bottom with most of the back
half of the field and looked like he would make it thru, but it was not meant to be as he got sideways and ended up on top
of Jimmy Horton rolling onto his roof. What transpired next was a valiant effort on the part of Pauch’s crew to get
the car repaired enough to continue. He returned without losing a lap, but it was evident that the right front wheel
was farther back than normal. On the restart the field only made it to turn three when Pauch spun with a right front
flat. Again his crew got him out quickly only to have the car get out from under him again in turn one. With the car obviously
almost undrivable, Pauch shot to the pits for the crew to give it one final try, but as Pauch raced onto the track behind
the field as the green flew, he made it only as far as the flagger stand before the car snapped around again, putting
an end to his evening. At this point Laubach was up to 11th, and now all he had to do was finish in the top ten and
he would win the title. But Laubach never even thought about changing his style and playing it conservative as he
drove as hard as he could to the front, grabbing the lead from Koczon on lap 17. Ryan Godown followed him into second and
many thought he was going to have something for him, but it was not to be as Laubach’s car seem to get better
as the race progressed and he went on to win his second feature of the year along with the 2009 track title, his first
at NES. Ken Carberry charged up late & settled for second five car lengths back, while Godown held on for third.
Richie Pratt Jr. finished fourth after starting at the rear due to a move into his back-up car, and Koczon completed the
top five.
After several strong runs, Mike Lyons finally broke into the winners circle for the first time this year in the Sportsman
20 lap feature. Lyons held off the persistent challenges of Rookie champ DJ Ruppert to win for the first time in 3 years.
Ruppert drove an impressive race to finish second, followed by Jack Swain returning to NES to post a solid third. Tim
Apgar and John Cornell rounded out the top five.
Vern McLaughlin captured his third win of the year
in the 20 lap Outlaw Stock feature event. With the win, McLaughlin pulls to within 8 points of point leader Shannon
Mongeau, who finished fourth, with just one point race remaining. John Carpenter chased him the whole race but didn’t
have enough to pull off a pass and settled for second. PJ Oliver was third, followed by Shannon Mongeau and Bill Connolly.
This Saturday, October 3, New Egypt Speedway presents Rocktoberfest 2009, the final show of 2009.
The Modifieds will headline the event as they will compete in a 40-lap, $3000 to win, Tri-Track Series point race. Drivers
will have the option to race for $5000 to win if they put up a $60 gamblers fee at the beginning of the show. Sportsman,
Crate1 Sportsman, Super Stocks, and Outlaw Stocks will all be in competition as well; each racing in their own season ending 20-lap
double point championship event. A live band will provide entertainment before the races get underway. Gates open at 1:00
p.m., Warm-ups begin at 3:30pm with the first race starting at 4:30 pm. For more information, call the speedway office
at (609) 758-1900 or log on to www.newegyptspeedway.net.

Congratulations on win # 80 to Billy Pauch !!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Another
Milestone for Pauch, Wins 80th career feature at New Egypt
New Egypt, NJ—(Sept 19, 2009)…Saturday night
at New Egypt Speedway marked another milestone in the long and storied career of Billy Pauch. Pauch of Frenchtown,
NJ visited Modifed victory lane for the 80th time in his career on Red, White and Blue Night sponsored by C & S
Equipment. Pauch raced from 17th starting spot to the lead in just 8 laps and then held off several challenges from Rick
Laubach over the second half of the race to record his 9th win of the season. Mike Hendershot took the lead
at the start of the 30-lap event, however it was short lived as 11th starter Dominick Buffalino was on a rail in the
low groove moving up to second by just the second lap. Buffalino wasted no time grabbing the lead on lap three, and one
lap later, 17th starter Pauch blasted thru for second as he was following Buffalino up thru the field. Buffalino showed
he may be the car to beat on two consecutive restarts as he pulled away from Pauch with relative ease, however his night
was short lived as he coasted to a stop on lap #8 in turn one, ending his great run. Puach then inherited the
lead and all eyes focused on the next challenger coming thru quickly, one time winner Rick Laubach. Laubach would
challenge on several restarts, but on the long runs, he had just enough to stay with Pauch. One final restart with 3
laps to go set up a final shootout between the two, but Pauch was too strong on this night as he posted the victory
by 2 car lengths. Laubach settled for second and lost 4 more points to Pauch in the championship chase, as Pauch now
holds a 32 point advantage entering the final point race of the season which will be held on Wednesday night Sept. 30th.
Bob Drayton had another strong showing finishing in third, followed by Kenny Carberry and Mike McAleer.
Gabe Fox of Penndel, PA scored his first victory of the season in the Crate-1 Sportsman feature. Fox lead
early, then rallied back past leader Bryan Papiez to cross the line first. Finishing second was Harry Marlin, followed
by Pat Wall in third, John Micek fourth and Bobby Dmuchowski fifth.
Rob Ormsbee of Wall, NJ won for the second
straight race, defeating point leader and defending champ Todd Cray in the 20 lap Super Stock feature. Shawn McCaughey
, Jason Bubeck and George Quinlan chased Ormsbee and Cray across the finish line to complete the top five.
The Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club was on hand and competed on the track with two 10-lap exhibition
races.
Next Saturday, Sept. 26, is the third and final stop of the NJ Extreme Off-Road Racing Series. Competitors
from all over the east and Canada are expected to be on hand to compete in the events which get underway at 5pm. The
on Wed. Sept. 30, NES will make up last Saturday’s program of Modifieds, Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks. This will
be the final point race for the Modifieds of 2009. For more information, call the speedway office at (609) 758-1900

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Carberry is the “Top Cat” at New
Egypt
New Egypt, NJ (Sept. 5, 2009) – Tom Carberry of Hopewell, NJ won for the first time this season
at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night as he took top honors in the 30 lap Modified Feature event. Carberry, affectionately
referred to as the “Top Cat”, grabbed the lead early in the event and went on to post his 7th career victory
on AllState Insurance “Back to School” night. Carberry’s only serious challenge of the race came on
the final 3 laps as Tad Cox closed in but could not muster enough speed to make the pass.
“This feels great.”
stated Carberry in victory lane, “We have been trying hard all year and it feels great to finally have everything come
together.”
Steve Haggan brought the 29 car field to the start, however the yellow was quickly put back on when Tim
Tanner got into the fence hard in turn number one. When the green reappeared it was once again Haggan taking command
and leading the first 8 laps. Carberry, who started third, was quickly making his presence known as he was second and
putting pressure on the leader. Carberry completed the pass on lap 8 and immediately opened up a sizeable lead. By halfway
the top two drivers in points, Billy Pauch and Rick Laubach, were in the top five and looking for more. Tad Cox had
other ideas though as he quickly got by Haggan to take second and set his sights on the leader, who was mired in heavy
lapped traffic. With all 30 laps being run non-stop after the initial accident, Carberry masterfully handled the
lapped traffic to maintain his half-a- straightaway lead until the final 5 laps, when Cox suddenly began moving in on Carberry who
was boxed in by lapped cars. Cox got within 2 car lengths over the final two laps but would get no closer as Carberry
took the win. Cox settled for a hard fought second, while Laubach crossed the line in third, also very close to the
leader. Pauch came fourth and Haggan posted his career best finish in 5th.
John Haegele won his 3rd Crate-1 Sportsman feature of the season in the 15 lap event. Haegele withstood numerous cautions
to win the “Friends of Mike Rogie” event for 2009. John Micek crossed the line second with Harry Marlin
third, Clay Butler fourth and Rob Stump was fifth. Larry Bubeck won his first career Super Stock feature
event at New Egypt Speedway. This is the second year in a row that a Bubeck has won the “Friends of Mike”
race, as his son Jason won it last season. Finishing second was 2007 champion George Quinlan, followed by Mick Search,
Billy Bauer and the last year’s winner Jason Bubeck. The SS Sprints saw John Wyers once again take top
honors in their 20 lap feature. Wyers started fifth, and wasted no time getting to the front in just 5 laps. Craig Rochelle
charged up from the back and was able to keep Wyers in sight but could never mount a serious challenge in the non-stop
event and settled for second. Tim Damiani, Jeff Mueller and Dean Schaffer rounded out the top five. Next
Saturday night, September 12th, New Egypt Speedway will present Red, White and Blue night, honoring all Fire, Police and
EMS workers! The Big-Block Modifieds will headline the card which also will feature Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks in action.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with the first race starting at 6:00 pm. For more information, call the speedway office

Press release / Wednesday Night Results/ New Egypt Speedway !
Pratt Scores Upset In First NES Victory
New Egypt—(8/26/09)… After making New Egypt Speedway
his permanent Saturday night racing home Richie Pratt Jr. of Woodbury Heights, NJ scored his first victory on Wednesday
night’s special Tri Track series race. Pratt beat the best modified drivers from New Egypt, Bridgeport and Georgetown
Speedways and scored an upset victory over an again dominate Billy Pauch after he broke coming off turn two on the final
lap.
“I gave him the lead earlier in the race when I almost spun all by myself there, so it’s only right
that he gave the lead back there at the end,” said a joking and excited Pratt in Victory Lane. “It’s
very rare that Billy makes mistakes and tonight was one of those rare times that happened to work in my favor. I thought
I really had a chance to get him there on the last start, but I knew he was going to be tough to get around. It’s
great getting to run with him and hopefully now that I’m more familiar with the track I can run up front with
him very race. I’ve lost a lot of races on the last lap so it was nice to have one go in my favor tonight.”
The race started with a lap two hard crash into the front stretch wall for Jimmy Chester, resulting in
a right rear tire falling off of the car and ending his night completely. On the lap two restart Brad Freeman spun coming
off of turn four collecting defending Tri Track Series champion Rick Laubach as well as Tom Carberry, Ryan Forte, and ending
the night for Ryan Godown. Laubach was able to continue following his wreck only to suffer a flat tire on lap 22. Ever
the fighter Laubach again returned to the track and drove up through the field to finish fourth. But the real fight
was going on in the front of the pack between the leader Pratt and second place Pauch. On lap nine while fighting for
the lead Pratt and Pauch traded paint on the backstretch with Pratt maintaining his lead. However, on lap 14 Pratt barely
saved himself from spinning and surrendered the lead to Pauch. Just when it looked like Pauch was on his way to securing
NES victory number 80 a caution for the then third place running Ryan Watt’s stopped car on lap 39 gave Pratt
and now third place runner Jimmy Horton the chance to secure victory. On the final restart Pauch bobbled coming off
of turn two which stacked up both Pratt and Horton. As Pauch faded with a broken axle, Pratt maintained his position
and captured the victory while holding off a hard charging Horton. Rounding out the top-10 was Horton, Ron John Koczon,
Rick Laubach, Willie Osmun, John McClelland, Johnny Guarino, Dominick Buffalino, Tom Carberry, and Steve Haggan.
Steve Buckwalter of Royersford, PA captured the ARDC Midget victory after passing a very impressive 16-year-old rookie Trevor
Kobylarz just passed half way in the 25-lap feature event. After taking the lead Buckwalter battled hard with second place finisher
Nick Wean for much of the final ten laps during the only race for the ARDC Midgets at NES. Rounding out the top-10 were Stephanie
Stevens, Frank Polimeda, Trevor Kobylarz, Billy Pauch Jr., Dusty Heistand, Brett Arndt, Ryan Watt, and PJ Gargiulo.
This
Saturday night at New Egypt Speedway is Bike Night. All those who arrive at the track on their motorcycles will be admitted
for half price. There will also be 20 bicycles donated by the NES drivers and local bike shops raffled off for the kids
during intermission. Headlining the on track action is the modifieds and joining them on track will be the Sportsman

Press Release / New Egypt Speedway !
New Egypt, NJ (August 24, 2009) - After suffering its third (Saturday) rainout of the 2009 season, the
New Egypt Speedway is ready to get back in the full swing of stock car racing. "It was going to be a lot of fun
Saturday if we had raced," GM Danny Serrano explained. "The modifieds had the night off from NES and were going to
be down at Bridgeport for the Series, but we still had big plans for Saturday. The five support divisions were going
to be in the limelight especially the Super Stocks and Crate-1 divisions. They were competing in their 'Friends
of Mike' Races with each feature paying $1,000 to win plus there was Heat Race money on the line. We also had
a '70s Night' theme planned where we had music from the 70s that was going to be played all night long. Our employees
were going to be dressed up as if we were all back in the 1970s and a constume contest for the fans was going to be
held at intermission." The Friends of Mike Races for the Super Stocks and Crate-1 divisions will be
rescheduled for Saturday, September 5th. Meanwhile, the 70s theme night will be rescheduled for Saturday, September
19th.
NES will be in action three times this coming week. On Wednesday, August 26th the 'Summer
Sizzler' starts off the first of the three races. The BPG Tri-Track Modifieds will wage war in a 40-lap affair for
all the bragging rights. New Egypt hot shoes Billy Pauch, Rick Laubach, Frank Cozze, Bob Drayton, and Richie Pratt
will be taking on plenty of outsiders on this hot summer night. Danny Johnson, Jimmy Horton, Jeff Strunk, Wade
Hendrickson, Ryan Watt, Chad James, Jimmy Chester and a host of others are all expected to be in the house trying to
steal the $3,000 top prize. Along with the Modifieds will be the ever-popular ARDC Midgets. ARDC makes their
one and only appearance of the 2009 season and you can bet it will be a 'barn burner' as the midgets always fly around
NES. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. Pit admission is $30 with any track/club
license and $40 w/o. General Admission is $23 for adults, $21 for Seniors/Military, $10 for Kids 12-15, and children

There will also be a 'Biker Costume Contest' at intermission. And to cap of intermission in style, the drivers themselves
have donated 20 bicycles for giveaways for the kids. The Modifieds, Sportsman, and Super Stocks will all be in action
on Saturday evening. On Sunday afternoon the second Demolition Derby of the will take place at the Speedway.
All the smashing and crashing will take place in the 'ring' in the middle of the track while there will be plenty of
action on the racetrack. Joining the Demo Derby will be a 50-lap Enduro, Outlaw Stocks, Crate-1 Sportsman, and the
Vintage Cars. All the action starts at 1pm. For more information regarding starting times and

Speed and Experience Carry Pauch to 8th New Egypt
Victory
New Egypt, NJ (August 15, 2009) – For the eighth time this season, Billy Pauch of Frenchtown,
NJ was the winner of the 30 lap Big-Block Modified feature at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night. Pauch charged from
17th starting spot and ran down young Frank Cozze Jr. with just 3 laps to go to capture his 79th career win on “Women
on Wheels” night. Pauch had to use all of his experience to catch and pass a very fast & determined Cozze
Jr. who came very close to posting his second career win in his rookie Modified season.
“I’ll tell you
what, Cozze Jr. is really good!” exclaimed an excited but winded Pauch in victory lane, “The second half of
the race the track had some wet spots where you could get a good bite, and that is where my experience came in to play.
I was searching for those spots and a groove where I could pass him and fortunately I was able to figure it out before
the race ended.”
Cozze Jr. started on the outside of the front row, but had to settle for running second in the early going
and fourth starter John Miloszar grabbed the early lead. Miloszar and Cozze Jr. showed the way as Kenny Carberry and
Richie Pratt Jr. moved into contention. Cozze Jr. wrestled the lead away from Miloszar and the top four moved away from
the rest of the pack until a lap 10 restart closed up the field. Pauch and NY invader Danny Johnson, who started side by
side on row nine, were now both knocking on the door and began to challenge on the restart. Pauch replaced Miloszar
in the top four, and again Cozze Jr., Pratt Jr who was now second, Carberry and Pauch pulled away. These top four kept
the crowd on the edge of their seats, with Pauch racing side by side with Carberry for 5 straight laps. The final restart
on lap 18 found Pauch finally getting by a tough Ken Carberry and then challenging an equally tough Pratt. Another five
laps and Pratt fell victim to the four time champion and with five laps to go only a fast Cozze Jr. stood between Pauch
and victory lane. With the young Cozze Jr. holding his line and not giving an inch, Pauch found the bite he was looking
for in turn one and drove under the rookie and on to his fourth win in the last five weeks.
Rocco Infante of Robbinsville, NJ won his fifth Sportsman feature of the season in the 20 lap event. Infante

Geiges brought the Mongiello Racing #94M home third ahead of Jeff Marcucci and JT Trestensky.

taking the lead at halfway, and after a spirited battle with Shanon Mongeau took the lead for good on lap 13 and went

Jason Saredy and point leader Vern McLaughlin rounded out the top five.

New Egypt Speedway Race Report, and Results for Saturday (8/8/09)
(http://www.newegyptspeedway.net/) :Cozze Breaks Into The Win Column At New Egypt Speedway
New Egypt—(8/8/09)…After a slow
start to his season, Frank Cozze of Wind Gap, PA finally made it to Victory Lane at New Egypt Speedway after a late
race pass on Willie Osmun on Beach Party Night sponsored by AFX Fencing.
After starting 14th in the feature event, Cozze was the fastest mover of the race making it up to the top five on
lap seven. He continued his hard charge to the front and passed Osmun coming off of turn four after a lap 22 restart
and showed just how much his season has turned around.
“I want
to dedicate this win to John Romano,” said Cozze during his Victory Lane celebration about his fellow driver who
has been very ill and unable to race all of this season. “I miss him here at the track and I miss being able to
joke around with him. With this win tonight I really think we are headed in the right direction. We had a slow start
to the season, but we have gotten better and better every week and this win proves it. I want to thank all the guys for working
so hard on this car and all the fans for sticking behind us.”
The
feature started with Cozze’s son, Frank Cozze Jr. taking the lead on lap one. Cozze, however, would not be outdone
by his young son as was quickly making his way through the pack by lap three. Cozze Jr. lost the lead on lap four to
a very fast Tom Carberry who was the guy to beat until he broke going into turn four on lap 18, ending his evening and
his chance at a victory. Carberry surrendered the lead to second place Willie Osmun who for several laps was able to
hold off Cozze. But with a restart of lap 22 for Tom Carberry Jr.’s spin on the backstretch, Cozze was able to pull underneath
Osmun to take the lead. Cozze looked to have some competition coming from a hard charging Rick Laubach who moved into second
on lap 27, but his effort was too little too late. As Cozze was making his way to the checkered flag, modified points leader Billy
Pauch began to slow going into turn one after suffering from a flat tire. Cozze’s victory Saturday night was his
25th career win at New Egypt Speedway making his fourth on the all time wins list. Rounding out the top-5 was Laubach,
Osmun, Ron John Koczon, and Mike McAleer.
John Micek of Flemington,
NJ captured his first Crate 1 Sportsman feature win of the season after Jon Haegele was disqualified for being light
at the scales following the event. Micek fought hard to catch Haegele for much of the race that saw a pile up on lap
two take out several cars. Rounding out the top-5 was Bryan Kuhl, Tom Raneri, Bobby Scherff, and Lee Allen.
Todd
Cray of Hamilton, NJ won his sixth Super Stock feature event of the season. Cray had been moving up through the field but
never looked like a serious threat until lap 13 when he was fighting for third position. He finally took the lead from
Shawn McCaughey on lap 15 and went on to score the victory and add to his points lead. Finishing second was Mick Search
followed by George Quinlan, Jason Bubeck, and Marty Derr.
Next Saturday night is Women on Wheels Night featuring Powder
Puff races. Joining the ladies on the track will be the Modifieds, Sportsman, Outlaw Stocks, and SS Sprints. Racing is
set to begin at 6 p.m. For more information, call the speedway office at (609) 758-1900 or visit our website at www.newegyptspeedway.net.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
The Legendary Billy Pauch Goes Back-To-Back At New Egypt Speedway
New
Egypt, NJ—(July 25, 2009)…On a night where legendary dirt track drivers including himself were honored, Billy
Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ visited Victory Lane at New Egypt Speedway for the second straight week and for the sixth time
this season on Legends Night sponsored by Perone’s Auto Salvage. After battling with fellow legend honoree Frank
Cozze of Wind Gap, PA, Pauch secured the lead in turn two after a restart on lap 15 and never looked back winning in dominating fashion.
“I’ll tell you. Like I said before, the track maintenance has been great,” said Pauch after
his 77th New Egypt victory. “There was two groove racing with both the inside and outside groove working tonight.
Frank (Cozze) made me a little nervous down there on the inside, but if you were fast they couldn’t hold you up.
We have a good pit crew who worked all night long and we have good guys back at the shop that work all week long to
make this car go fast.”
The 30-lap feature event started with a single car spin for fan provisional holder
Chris Allen Jr. Then on lap five, leader John Salvatore spun in turn four collecting second place runner Ken Carberry
& the fourth place car of Frank Cozze, Jr. with Frank Cozze, Sr. making a great move to just narrowly avoid the tangle.
After starting second on the restart, Cozze grabbed the lead, while Pauch moved up to fourth after a hard fought
battle with his then co-leader in the point standings Rick Laubach. After getting past Laubach, Pauch passed New Egypt
native Ron John Koczon for second and set his sights on the leader. By lap 13 Pauch was closing in on Cozze, who was
having one of his strongest runs of the season while driving with a healing broken foot. John Miloszar brought out the
caution on lap 14 for a flat left front tire just as Tim Tanner, Jr. began to charge into contention. On the restart,
Pauch charged around Cozze off of turn two and began pulling away. The third place car of Koczon quickly brought out
the caution on lap 17 for a flat left rear tire and when racing resumed Cozze came under fire from Tanner, Jr., who continues
to impress everyone with his new small-block motor. Tanner appeared to be running down Pauch for several laps, but Pauch
was just too tough on this night. Cozze and Tanner began battling hard for the runner up spot with just 5 laps remaining,
so hard the two locked bumpers momentarily in turn 4, but not long enough to cost them any positions. With no challenges
to his leading position in the last five laps Pauch took the checkered flag and took sole possession of first place
in the points as Rick Laubach finished 15th. Tanner won out in the battle for second, with Cozze settling for third. Rounding
out the top-5 was Mike McAleer and Bobby Drayton.
Jon Haegele of Hilltown, PA collected his second victory of the season and set a new 20 lap track record during the
Crate-1 Sportsman division feature. For the first time in track history the Crate-1’s ran straight through with
no cautions and with his victory, Haegele set the record time of six minutes and 21 seconds. Finishing second was Bryan
Kuhl followed by Harry Marlin in third, Bobby Dmuchowski in forth, and John Micek in fifth.
Todd Cray of Hamilton,
NJ padded his points lead over George Quinlan by winning his fifth Super Stock feature of the season. After starting
11th, Cray battled his way into the lead but saw few challenges once he secured the lead. Quinlan of Brick, NJ who has
one victory this season and is second in points came home second followed by Jason Bubeck, George Marrero, and Billy
Bauer. John Wyers won the SS Sprint feature that saw the SS Sprint
cars with bigger wings this week to keep up with the Limited Sprint Car run by Wyers. The event started with a turn
two bobble by leader Frank Cozze, Jr. that caused him to surrender the lead to John McClelland and forced his early
retirement from the event. Just at the halfway point in the 15-lap feature event Wyers took the lead from second place
finisher McClelland and was never headed. Rounding out the top-5 was Jeff Mueller, Dan Biggs, and Ian Borden.
To celebrate Legends Night the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club had almost 20 cars on hand that put on two 10-lap
exhibition races. During intermission several legend drivers met and signed autographs for the fans. Legend honoree
and modified feature winner Billy Pauch said, “I had a good time talking to all these guys that I don’t get to
see very often.” Other drivers in attendance included NES’ first dirt Modifed champion in 1998 Roger Laureno,
Billy Osmun, Stan Ploski, Ken Brenn Jr., Sammy Beavers, Kenny Brightbill (who also competed), Johnny Leach, and Newt
Hartman along with many others.
Next Saturday, Aug. 1, is the annual “Friends of Mike Night” presented
by K&A Excavating and Lynch-Gray Towing, that pays a huge purse of $10,000 to the modified feature winner. Many invaders including

Pauch Experience’s a “Holiday Miracle”
at New Egypt
New Egypt, NJ (July 18, 2009) –Many people say that the Holiday season is full of little miracles.
Billy Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ experienced this first hand at New Egypt Speedway Saturday night as he watched his broken
motor roar back to life and carry him to victory lane in the 30 lap Advantage Financial Mortgage Banker sponsored Christmas
in July event. Pauch took the lead just before the halfway point from Ken Carberry and survived the motor scare on the
final turn to post his 76th career Modified triumph, his fifth of 2009.
“I felt the motor break in turn 3
& 4 on the final lap,” Pauch said in disbelief, “When I came off of (turn) four I stepped back on the gas
and it sputtered, grabbed the track and we made it to the line; We were very fortunate tonight. I would be surprised if
we really had a motor failure, these Morrison Motors have been outstanding all year and have been a big reason for our
success!”
The early part of the event saw several cars battling for and sharing the lead thru several caution periods
including John Miloszar, Mark Forte Sr., & Brad Freeman. By the 5th lap, the two fastest movers were Kenny Carberry
and heat winner Tim Tanner Jr., as they raced into first and second respectively. Meanwhile, 17th starting Pauch was
putting on a passing clinic for the large crowd in attendance as he passed Tanner for second on lap 7. The fans now sat
on the edge of there seats as everyone awaited the pass for the lead, however Carberry had different ideas as he not
only continued to lead, but began to pull back away from Pauch. On lap 12 Pauch began reeling in a slowing Carberry
and made what would be the winning pass on lap 14. Two laps later, Carberry exited the race as his car finally gave out. Rick
Laubach, who started 16th, was also a busy man as he raced into second one lap later only to find that Pauch was lapping
cars a straightaway ahead. A lap 21 yellow closed the gap and got everyone excited in anticipation of the restart,
but it was anti-climatic as Pauch drove away easily. On the final two turns, Pauch saw Santa grant him his Christmas
wish early as “Billy the Kid” got one last gasp from his motor, enough to carry him to victory lane, where
his motor then deposited every fluid it had been carrying to the win. Laubach settled for a hard earned second, and
by virtue of this finish it left Pauch and Laubach in a dead heat for the point lead going into next week’s events.
Tanner was stout all night long with a new small block motor under the hood as he came home a convincing third.
Rich Rutski who was back for only the second time after taking 6 weeks off, charged from his 18th starting spot to cross
the line fourth and June 27th winner Bobby Drayton rebounded back from an early race tangle and pit stop to finish fifth,
Rocco Infante of Robbinsville, NJ again showed he is the man to beat, as he raced from 24th starting
spot to pass leader Lou Farina III at the white flag and take his fourth victory of the season in the 20 lap Sportsman
feature. Farina, who won his heat and led most of the event, was denied his first win but came up with season best runner-up
finish. Former Super Stock champ George Quinlan continues to get stronger with each event as he crossed the line third, followed
by a career best fourth place by JT Trstensky. Tim Apgar drove the Baumann Racing #64 home fifth.
Shanon Mongeau
finally won his first ever feature at NES in the 20 lap Outlaw Stock feature event. Mongeau had finished second in the last
two events, however he finally put it all together as he out-dueled PJ Oliver to the popular win. Oliver came home a strong second
chased by defending champ Rich Mongeau. Point leader Vern McLaughlin was fourth followed by former champ Gary Klimeczak.
In the SS Sprint division, John Wyers was invited by the SS Sprint teams to compete against them with his Limited Sprint
Car, and Wyers went from last starting spot to beat the 10 car field in exciting fashion for the fans. Modified
driver John McClelland took honors of the first SS Sprint across the line, posting his second straight win in as many
attempts. Ian Borden finished second followed by Frank Cozze Jr.
Next Saturday night, July 25, New Egypt Speedway presents Legends Night sponsored by Perone’s Auto
Salvage. The Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will be on hand with vintage racers on display and on the track as
well. The racing will feature a full card of Big-Block Modifieds, Super Stocks, Crate1 Sportsman & SS Sprints.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with the first race starting at 6:00 pm. For more information, call the speedway office

Osmun Sharp in NES Sportsman Shoot-out
New
Egypt, NJ (July 14, 2009) – Willie Osmun made his first Sportsman start since last fall a successful one Tuesday
night at the New Egypt Speedway as he captured the 50 lap Sportsman Shoot-out. Osmun, Sportsman track champ the
last two years at NES, picked up a ride for the race in Joe Baumann’s #64 and drove from 14th starting spot to take
the lead from Ryan Godown on lap 28. Once in front, Osmun was strong enough to hold off the challenges of a hard charging
Mike Lyons to pick up $3250 for his efforts along with his 20th career win at the central Jersey speedway.
“This
feels great after the tough start we have had this year trying to move up to the Modifieds,” stated Osmun in victory
lane, “And especially being able to get Joe (Baumann) his first win here. The track was great tonight and the
car worked exceptionally well, and it was an added bonus to beat Mike with his old car.” Osmun was referring to
second place finisher Mike Lyons, who drove a new car to a second place finish, only to finish behind one of his former
race cars now owned by Baumann.
The start saw Ryan Forte bring the 32 car field to the green flag and hold off point leader and 3 time
winner Rocco Infante at the start. Forte held Infante at bay for 3 laps until he finally slipped by for the lead. By
lap ten 13th starter & former champion Ryan Godown driving the Stangle racing #6 was in third and looking for more, while
15th starter Rick Laubach was right behind him in Gene Stravinsky’s #7A. Godown and Laubach went by Forte on both
sides, racing three wide, as they set their sights on the leader. Infante though would prove to be tough as Godown and
Laubach both looked for a way by with the three all leading different parts of 3 straight laps. On lap 15 Infante and
Godown were racing side by side in turn one when Laubach dove to the bottom groove and the car got out from under him,
spinning and collecting fourth place runner Jack Swain in the process. Laubach’s flat tire forced him to the pits
and ultimately his retirement from the event when he lost a lap on the restart. Godown at this point opened up about
a 7 car length advantage, but just before halfway his car began to puff smoke out in every turn. Osmun, who now was
third drove under Infante to grab second and with Godown’s problems mounting he began to track down the leader.
Osmun made the winning pass on lap 28 as he drove under Godown in turn two. Godown would only last 3 more laps before he coasted
to a stop in turn four ending his valiant run. Osmun was in control on the restart as Mike Lyons, who started 23rd and
went to the pits 4 times under 2 separate yellows in the opening laps, now charged into second. Osmun however had a
car that was just too good on this night as he raced home 4 car lengths in front of Lyons at the finish. Infante held
on for third with an overheating engine, early race leader Ryan Forte was fourth and invader Kyle Weiss finished fifth.
Rounding out the top ten were Pat Wall, Mike Ruggerio, Craig Whitmoyer, Jeff Geiges and Rich Scagliotta.
Four Heat races were run for the 47 Sportsman on hand, with Forte, Ruggerio, Eric Kormann and Chuck Hopkins
taking top honors. Scagliotta and Kevin Vaclavicek won the B Mains. The entire show was completed in just under 3 hours.
Todd Cray dominated the Super Stock 20 lap feature event as he raced to the front in just two laps
from his 11th starting spot. For Cray it was his 4th win of the season and his 11th career. Two time champ Rob
Ormsbee was second followed by George Quinlan, Jason Bubeck and George Marrero.
This Saturday night, July 18, it
will be Christmas in July at New Egypt Speedway as Advantage Financial will bring Santa and plenty of gifts to benefit
the US Marine “Toys for Tots” drive. To get a chance for one of the many big ticket prizes from Advantage Financial,
all you have to do is donate 1 unwrapped toy or make a $5 cash donation. Headlining the program will be the big-block
Modifieds, joined by the same Sportsman, along with the Outlaw Stocks and the SS Sprints. For more information about
these events, call the speedway office at (609) 758-1900 or log on to www.newegyptspeedway.net.

Mike Geiser Drives From Ohio To New Egypt’s Victory Lane
New
Egypt--(7/11/09)....Pro Buggy driver Mike Geiser drove all the way from Orrville, Ohio to Victory Lane at New Egypt Speedway
on Saturday night as part of the XOR Extreme Racing series sponsored by R.H.I. Professional Contracting Incorporated.
While it looked like then leader Bob Klaus, who had finished second in both of his heat races, would finally pull off
the victory, a bobble right before the final turn on the last lap allowed the hard charging Geiser to take the lead
and the victory. Rounding out the top five in the Pro Buggy feature was David Lofland of South Hampton, NJ; Craig Pittman
of Jefferson Hills, PA; and Henry Malaty of Jackson, NJ.
Also in action on Saturday night were the 8 Cylinder Trucks, Stock Buggy, 4 and 6 Cylinder Truck, and
Rock Buggy divisions. Jeremy Crone of Allentown, PA visited Victory Lane for the 8 Cylinder Trucks after Gary Rothermel,
the comeback story of the evening as he did not start his second heat, lost the lead. After a hard fought battle between Tom
Surais of Mays Landing, NJ and Steven Seastrand of Hurleyville, PA, Surais emerged victorious in the Stock Buggy division.
In the 4 and 6 Cylinder Truck division Rich Barlow of Toms River, NJ beat Jeff Summelrock to visit Victory Lane. In
maybe the toughest competition of the evening Lou Levy of Parkton, MD beat heavy favorite Doug Bigelow after Bigelow
got stuck on the final rock climb after only a few laps of competition.
Next up at New Egypt Speedway is the Garden
State Sportsman Shootout on Tuesday, July 14, 2009. This special race night will feature the New Egypt Sportsman racing
50 laps for a big purse, featuring a cool $3000 to win. Drivers from New York and Pennsylvania are expected to invade
the NJ oval for the big payday. Joining the Sportsman on the track will be the Super Stocks. Gates open at 5 p.m. with
racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Modifieds will be back in action at New Egypt on Saturday, July 18, for Christmas
in July sponsored by Advantage Financial. Local Marines will be at the track collecting unwrapped toys and cash donations
for Toys for Tots in exchange for raffle tickets to win great prizes. Along with the Modifies, the Sportman, Outlaw Stocks, and
SS Sprints will be in action. For more information about these events, visit our website at www.newegyptspeedway.net or

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Horton Hits Homerun in Yankee Classic at NES
New Egypt, NJ (July 4, 2009) – Jimmy Horton invaded the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night and captured
the Yankee Classic BPG/Hooters Tri-Track Series event, sponsored by RJS Heating and Air Conditioning & H&H Gas.
Horton, a former 2 time Modified track champ at NES, passed race leader Rick Laubach with 12 laps remaining and went
on to post his second Series victory. The win was Horton’s 16th of his career at New Egypt Speedway.
Horton
fell back from his second row starting spot to 8th in the first few laps, but quickly righted the ship and began his march
back to the front. With pole sitter Laubach in control early, defending champ Billy Pauch passed Tim Tanner for second
and began to apply steady pressure to the leader. Meanwhile Horton had snuck back into the picture, and on a lap 9 restart
he ducked under Pauch to take over second. With much of the field using the low groove on the slick racing surface,
Horton went to the middle of the track and got his car to work with a combination of a great set-up and excellent throttle
control. Lap after lap he gained a few more feet on Laubach, until he eventually just wore him down, taking command of
the event in turn three as he went around Laubach. Once in front he opened up about a five car length advantage,
until the final lap, when in true NES fashion Laubach made a desperate but well-timed charge on the final turn, only
to fall short by 1 car length. Laubach settled for second, while Pauch watched the battle from his front row seat in third.
Tom Carberry completed an impressive run coming home fourth while Willie Osmun completed the top five.
In
the Rislone URC Sprint Series event, Trevor Lewis of Upper Black Eddy, PA won his first race at New Egypt since 2002, as
he held off the challenges of both JJ Grasso and defending champion Curt Michael. Lewis, who started 11th, took
the lead from the top three race leaders in one lap just after halfway passing Micheal, Chris Coyle, and leader Michael
Carber. JJ Grasso was about to challenge Lewis for the lead in lapped traffic when the yellow appeared with 8 laps remaining.
However, Grasso used the remainder of the event to fight of Curt Michael for the runnerup honors. Coyle drove home 4th followed
by Kyle Purks in fifth.
Vern McLaughlin took top honors in the Outlaw Stock event. McLaughlin had his hands
full with young Shanon Mongeau but held on to record his second straight win. Mongeau crossed the line in second
followed by John Carpenter, Joe Mongeau and Kevin Bifulco.
The popular Modified Match races saw Gary Butler win
the first 6 in a row, pocketing $300, before falling to Sam Martz. Bobby Drayton took care of Martz in the very next
race and then beat Rick Laubach, before inviting the lone driver left, Billy Pauch out for the final event. Pauch took
the 1 lap match race and the final race purse of $550.
Next Saturday night, July 11, New Egypt Speedway takes a
week off from the regular card in order to bring you the Extreme Off-Road Series Tour for the second time this season.
Then the following Tuesday, July 14th, New Egypt Speedway will present their big mid-week Sportsman 50 lapper, paying
a cool $2500 to win. Many top Sportsman drivers from the Northeast are expected to be on hand to compete for the
big money. For more information about these events, call the speedway office at (609) 758-1900 or log on to www.newegyptspeedway.net

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
URC/Tri-Track-40/FIREWORKS/Match Races make for an absolute NES must see!!!
By
Danny Serrano This coming Saturday will be one of the can't miss events of 2009 at the New Egypt Speedway.
H&H Gas and RJS Heating & Cooling will proudly sponsor one of our Nation's biggest holiday events.
For starters, the one and only appearance of the popular URC Sprint Cars will take place this coming Saturday.
New Egypt Kingpin J.J. Grasso leads the Winged Invasion into Ocean County, NJ. Grasso was the winner in
4 of the 5 appearances at the track in 2008. He currently sits atop the URC point standings followed by Chris Coyle, Davey
Sammons, Curt Michael, and Michael Carber. The URC Sprints put on a display of sheer speed and power everytime they
visit NES. Not to play second fiddle to anyone, the BPG Tri-Track Series is back in town to compete in the
4th leg of the 10-race series. Bridgeport/Georgetowns finest will be in attendance along with New Egypt's regular hot
shoes. You can bet that current point leader Rick Laubach and all-time feature winner Billy Pauch along with reigning
Super Dirt Week Champion Frank Cozze will be up to the strong challenges of Series point leader Ryan Watt, Bridgeport point leader
Wade Hendrickson, former two-time NES champion Jimmy Horton,Chad James, Richie Pratt, Jimmy Chester, and plenty more of Bridgeport's
invaders. If that's not enough...The ever-popluar 1 on 1 Modified Match Races will take place on the 4th.
You will see plenty of Fireworks throughout the 11 race shuffle. The top 10 in NES points are locked into
the Challenge as there will be two wildcards added to the mix. The two wild cards will race each other for the first $50
match race and then anything goes as the winner then picks one of the remaining drivers in the infield. The final
1 lap race will have everyone's attention as the winner of that race will take home a cool $500 for his 1 lap effort!!! Along
with the URC Sprint Cars and the Tri-Track Modified Series the Outlaw Stocks will due battle in front of a packed house
this coming Saturday. Bicycles donated by modified standout Jimmy Robertson as well as Outlaw Stock driver P.J.
Oliver will be won by 4 lucky youngsters. Plenty of giveways for both adults and children will be handed out on
Saturday throughout the evening. Each division will be interacting with the crowd as the URC drivers have
a autograph session planned during the night. The Modifieds heat qualifiers will sign frisbees courtesy of Radical
Design Group and throw them into the crowd during the feature re-draw. And the Outlaw Stocks will also have frisbees
to toss into the crowd. The lucky fan who catches the frisbee with the feature winner's name on it will win a
cash prize courtesy of Vern McLaughlin and New Egypt Speedway. And if that's not enough a Fantastic
Display of FIREWORKS will be on display after all the fireworks have settled on the track. So bring out the family
and enjoy a great night of racing at the New Egypt Speedway that will be capped off by 4th of July Fireworks.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Drayton Breaks 9 Year Dry Spell with NES Modified Victory
New Egypt, NJ (June 27, 2009) – Bobby Drayton of Southampton, NJ last visited victory lane on May 6,
2000 when he recorded his only Modified win at New Egypt Speedway. That was until Saturday night when Drayton
passed 19 cars on his way to ending a nine year winless streak on C & M Automotive Warehouse night. Drayton took the
lead from Big-Block Modified rookie John McClelland with just 7 laps to go to post the popular win.
“Is
this real!?!” quizzed a stunned Drayton of announcer Nick Leach in victory lane, “Before the race tonight,
my crew chief asked me if I wanted to put two new tires on the car. I told him, look where we are starting, just leave
the old tires on and save the new tires for when we have a chance of winning! This is just unbelievable.”
The 30 lap feature on this evening was an eventful one that started very slowly with several cautions slowing
the race in the early going. 20th starting Drayton’s success began early on as was able to stay out of harms way
despite being so deep in the pack. Once things got rolling, Nanuet NY’s Johnny Guarino paced the field. The young gun
held his own and looked impressive in his own right as the field battled two, three, and sometimes even four wide behind
him. Guarino looked very smooth until just before halfway, when a restart found point leader and 75 time career feature
winner Billy Pauch lined up alongside of him. As the two charged into turn one, Guarino slipped up out of the
groove with Pauch on the outside of him, and the two quickly fell out of the top five with John McClelland grabbing the top
spot. Several drivers looked fast including Tim Tanner, Jr., Gary Butler, Ken Carberry, Frank Cozze and Rick Laubach, and
they all chased McClelland. As Guarino picked his way back up to second, Laubach and Pauch were waging a wild duel for
fourth when the two tangled causing Pauch to be towed off and Laubach to have to restart at the rear of the field. Drayton
was now making his presence known and after another tangle eliminated Butler and Ken Carberry, he found himself lined
up on McClelland’s bumper. “Johnny Mac”, who had already won the SS Sprint feature, tried valiantly
to hold on for his first win, but Drayton proved to be too much for the rookie Modified driver as he drove around him
for the lead that he would not relinquish. McClelland held on for a career best second place finish followed by Guarino
who also posted his first ever top five in third. Tad Cox drove home fourth with invader David VanHorn rebounding back from
an early race spin to finish fifth.
Rocco Infante of Hamilton Square, NJ won his 3rd Sportsman feature of the season
in the 20 lap event. Infante charged also charged from the back to keep his top five finish streak going in the fifth event
of the season. Mike Howardson was third followed by Tim Apgar and John Cornell.
Ron Ormsbee of Howell,
NJ won his 22nd career Super Stock feature event tying Billy Bauer for first on the NES all-time win list. George Quinlan
chased Ormsbee to the finish line in second, followed by defending champ and point leader Todd Cray. Fourth was local favorite
Kenny Guyer and Tony Giglio came home in the fifth position.
The SS Sprints made a popular return to NES Saturday
as John McClelland won the 20 lap event in his first time ever in one of these cars. McClelland ran second to David
Martin in the first 10 lap segment, and then had to restart the race in fourth as the #5 inversion pill was drawn. McClelland
did not let this deter him though as he raced to the front and won in his first ever start. Fast-timer Lee Taylor Jr.
crossed the line in second, followed by Ian Borden.
In the Advantage Financial/Cradle Rock Developers Rookie
Sportsman series finale, Bridgewater, NJ’s Brian Roemer took home his fourth win in the 12 lap double point event.
However it was Hamilton’s DJ Ruppert who won the 2009 NES Rookie crown as his second place finish gave him the
coveted championship by just four points. Ryan Hoffman finished third, followed by Matt Vaillancourt, Ryan Simmons
and Harris Kohen.
Next Saturday night, July 4th, New Egypt Speedway will present the much anticipated
“Yankee Classic 40” Tri-Track Series Modified event. The Modifieds will also compete in the “Fan Favorite”
Modified Shoot-Out, featuring at least 10 one lap match races! Joining the Modifieds on the card will be the one and
only appearance of the URC Sprint cars in 2009. The Outlaw Stocks will also be in action, and to top it all off, a Huge
Fireworks extravaganza will take place after the final race. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with the first race starting at
6:00 pm. For more information, call the speedway office at (609) 758-1900 or log on to www.newegyptspeedway.net.

SCHEDULE DEMOLITION
(6/21/09)
Rain Again…Events Rescheduled…Fan Appreciation 50 Announced New Egypt, NJ (June
20, 2009) - For the second consecutive Saturday, Mother Nature was the big winner at the New Egypt Speedway. Co-owner Bill
Miscoski was very disappointed in suffering back to back cancellations. “We’ve had as many rainouts in the
past two weeks as we’ve had in the past two years! We even adjusted our schedule to try and accommodate all our
support divisions by adding them to some other Saturday programs and then it rains again. Hopefully this rain will move
out of here soon and we can get back to some racing.” The Xtreme exhibition that was scheduled for Saturday
cannot be made up. Therefore the next time the Xtreme Off-Road machines visit New Egypt it will be in full competition
on Saturday, July 11. The ‘Father’s Day Races’ will be rescheduled to another date later in the season. The
first order of business will be this Wednesday’s (6/24) rescheduled “open practice.” Teams can test and
tune from 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Please call the speedway to register your car for the practice. $150 will get car and crew
into the pit area on Wednesday. In case of inclement weather, the practice will then be held on Thursday (same hours).
Then on Saturday, June 27 C&M Automotive Warehouse will be out in full force sponsoring “Graduation
and Mechanics Night”. All graduating students presenting a copy of their 2009 Diploma will be admitted FREE on
Saturday. Also graduating that night will be the Advantage Financial/Cradlerock Developers Rookie Class and a champion will
also be crowned. DJ Ruppert and Brian Roemer are in a tight battle for the points lead as these two drivers are the only
rookies to visit victory lane in all previous 8 races. The Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Stocks, and the SS Sprints (recently
added) will all be in action on the 6/27. Capping off the night will be the “Mechanic’s Races” that
were originally scheduled on June 13. Gates will open at 4pm with the first race hitting the track at 6pm. New
Egypt will then be open the very next day as the “Junkin’ June” Demolition Derby takes place on Sunday,
June 28. The ‘Spring Smash’ was rained out back in April so there are many drivers and cars awaiting the
carnage that will take place on Sunday afternoon. A 50-lap Enduro along with the Vintage Cars will accompany the Demo Derby.
Also on tap will be the Crate-1 Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks competing in qualifying events and features (these shows are
point races). The gates open at 11am with a start time for 1pm. The following week will certainly be an event
that every race fan will not want to miss... The 4th of July Spectacular presented by H&H Gas. The holiday will
mark the one and only appearance by the URC Sprint cars in 2009. The Tri-Track Series will also be having the 4th leg
of the series paying a cool $3,000 to win. Bridgeport Speedway standouts Jimmy Horton, Richie Pratt, Ryan Watt, Wade Hendrickson, Jimmy
Chester, Chad James and plenty of other modified drivers are expected to travel north for the “Yankee Classic”.
The Outlaw Stocks have been added to the show as well from last week’s rainout. If that’s not enough the
Mighty Modifieds will hit the track for the ever-popular “1 on 1 Match Races” featuring the top 10 in points along
with 2 wild card opponents. Rounding out this great night of racing will be a fabulous display of Fireworks courtesy of
New Egypt Speedway. With rain winning out the last two weeks, owner’s Bill Miscoski and Fred Vahlsing
have decided to add a mid-week show to the schedule. A “Fan and Driver Appreciation 50-Lapper” will take place
on Tuesday, July 14. However, it will not be the modifieds headlining the show as the Sportsman will get their shot
to be in the limelight. “The Sportsman competitors have really supported New Egypt in 2009 with all the changes
that were made in the off-season. This is a way we thought we could repay them and show them our appreciation,” track General
Manager Danny Serrano explained. “This show is not only for our own Sportsman drivers, we would love to have drivers
from Bridgeport, Big Diamond, Delaware, Orange County, and Accord join us on this night.
The Sportsman will be racing for a $2,500 first place prize, with $1,000 going to 2nd place, and $800
for 3rd, $700 for 4th, 5th place paying $500 and $400 going to the 6th place finisher. An entire purse will be paid
to all 24 drivers taking the green flag ($75 green money). There is a $50 entry fee for all Sportsman competitors. There will
be a downloadable Entry Form available on the New Egypt Speedway website within the next few days.
Serrano
went on to say, “We really think this could be something big with the Sportsman guys running for some pretty decent
money that night. We’re hoping to see guys like Jack Swain, the Hill Brothers, Brett Ballard, Sean Gunther, Brad
Brightbill, Tom Brennan, Johnny Scarborough, Mike Ruggiero, Mike White and anyone else take on New Egypt‘s best.
We may even see some modified drivers try to pick up a ride for the night, you never know.” Currently the rules are
being finalized and will be released in a few days. The Crate-1 and Crate-2 cars will receive weight breaks and in fact
are encouraged to come and race that Tuesday. There will most likely be some cash bonuses for the highest finishing
Crate-1 and Crate-2 drivers, possibly even for the highest finishing non-regular.
Also joining the Sportsman on this night will be the very entertaining Super Stock Division. Since their
race was rained out on June 20th management wanted to make sure they had the opportunity to race as well. Their 20-lap
race will be a point show that Tuesday. There is a chance that the SS Sprints could be added to round out the show.
That decision will be made in the upcoming weeks. Admission will be $15 for adults with hot laps starting at 7pm and the
first green flag dropping at 7:30pm. For more information please log onto www.newegyptspeedway.net or call the
track office at 609-758-1900

NES Adjusts Schedule After Rainout New Egypt, NJ (June 14, 2009) - After suffering its first
rainout of the 2009 season, New Egypt Speedway has adjusted the extra events from June 13 as well as confirmed some
other additions to the racing schedule. This coming Thursday June 18, NES will host an open practice session for
any drivers and divisions wishing to test and tune their equipment. The practice will take place from 3:30pm to 8:30pm.
$150 will allow driver and entire team into the pit area on Thursday. Teams should call the track to register their
car for Thursday’s practice. On Saturday, June 20 C&M Automotive Warehouse will proudly host “Xtreme/Father’s
Day Night”. Joining the Big Block Modifieds, Super Stocks, Crate-1 Sportsman, SS Sprints and Rookies will be the
annual “Father’s Day Races.” The Sportsman and Outlaw Stock divisions are not on the racing card,
however they are more than welcome to bring their race cars on Saturday and put ‘Pop’ behind the wheel. The
SS Sprints will make their 2009 debut as well. A 20-lap main event is on the agenda with a special twist involved. At the
half-way mark, the field will stop on the track while the leader draws a numbered pill to invert the field for the remaining
10 laps. Rounding out the race program will be an intermission exhibition of races put on by the NJXOR. The off-road racers
will demonstrate just what they will be doing for their upcoming July 11 race at NES. “Cruise Night” will
be rescheduled later in the season. Gates will open at 4pm while the first green flies at 6pm. Adults are $20,
Kids 12-15-$10 and Children 11 and under are FREE. The rained out “Mechanics’ Races” will
now take place on Saturday, June 27. “Many of the drivers were planning on letting their crewmen jump behind the
wheel of the car that they turn the wrenches on. We certainly wanted to reschedule these races as mechanics were already registered
and more were planning on signing up this past Saturday,” offered track manager Danny Serrano. Also on the racing
card that night is the Rookie Graduation for all of the Advantage Financial/Cradlerock Developers rookie drivers. Five-time
winner DJ Ruppert currently holds on to a 12 point lead over three-time winner Brian Roemer. In recognition of the Rookies
graduating, NES is offering any students (with copy of diploma) of a 2009 middle school, high school, or college graduating
class free admission to the races that night. The anticipated “Big Wheel Races” for the children
will now be held on Saturday, August 8. Trophies will be awarded to the top thee finishers in all three age groups on
that day. Age groups for these races are 3-4, 5-7, and 8-9.
The SS Sprints have been added to the schedule for 7 events throughout the remainder of the season. Those
dates include June 20, July 18, July 25, Aug 15, Aug 22, Sept 5, and Sept 12. For more information please call the track
at 609-758-1900 or you can log onto www.newegyptspeedway.net.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Billy Pauch Reaches Milestone with 75th
Career Big-Block Win at NES
New Egypt, NJ (June 6, 2009) – Billy Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ won
his 75th career Big-Block Modified feature at the New Egypt Speedway Saturday night as he captured the 30 lap Cray Electric
sponsored main event. Pauch took the lead just before halfway and was never headed enroute to his 4th win of the season.
Young hot shoe Johnny Guarino, Jr. took command at the drop of the green flag over Jim Robertson leading
the first three laps of the event. Dominick Buffalino, who started fifth, was on the move and quickly grabbed the lead
on lap four from Guarino and looked fast in the early going. Buffalino lead for 7 laps until Pauch, who started 18th,
burst on the scene and charged into the top spot on lap 11. Rick Laubach was in hot pursuit at this point and quickly took
over second and the chase was on. Despite trying different grooves and lines, Laubach had nothing for Pauch on
this night as he cruised to his second win in a row. Laubach settled for second followed by a great run by Mike
McAleer, who once again impressed by finishing third. Frank Cozze rebounded back from a mid race spin, rim riding all
the way back around heavy traffic to finish fourth while Sam Martz finished a solid fifth.
Todd Cray of Trenton, NJ, shined very brightly on his sponsor’s night as he took the title of
Mr. Super Stock for the second time in three years, capturing the 25 lap title race sponsored by Cray Electric/Cray
Motorsports. Cray got to the front quickly from the back of the pack to lead, but was run down by 2 time champ Rob Ormsbee.
His lead was short-lived as a few laps later, Cray raced back by and took command, going on to win to the delight of his friends
and family. Ormsbee crossed the line in second but was disqualified after failing the post race inspection. Jason Bubeck drove
a nice race to finish second, followed by George Quinlan, Billy Bauer and Marty Derr.
John Micek held off the hard charging Jon Haegele over the final half of the race to win a popular victory
in the 20 lap Crate-1 Sportsman feature. Haegele had to settle for second followed by Gabe Fox in third. Bryan Kuhl
finished fourth with Pat Wall in fifth. .
In the Advantage Financial/Cradle Rock Developers Rookie Sportsman series,
D.J. Ruppert won his fifth in a row, capturing the 8 lap feature event. Ruppert defeated Brian Roemer again, who won the
first three Rookie features this season. Matt Vaillancourt brought his entry home in third.
Next
